Lorenzo Lyons

In the near future, a significant part of the total road traffic will be made up of highly autonomous vehicles. My research aims to investigate the benefits of inter-agent communication in the context of multi-robot motion planning. Increasing the amount of shared data among highly automated vehicles, however, raises concerns for human safety and privacy. Hence, in my research I focus on how to consider aspects such as cyber-physical security and information sharing policies in the motion planning algorithm design.

To increase the real-world applicability of my research I am also involved in the development of an experimental testing platform for multi-agent systems.
